Summertime Watermelon Doormat

The Whoopsadaisy Hittys’ summer cabin, Jolly Cottage, is a charming 1930s dollhouse with a ‘J’ on the front door, a pushpin doorbell, a classic eyebrow porch roof, and a windowbox filled with perennial millinery flowers.

Jolly Cottage, Whoopsadaisy Hittys’ collection

18 months ago, Mrs. Sag requested a sweet and tasty watermelon doormat to echo the architectural colors of Jolly Cottage. After a couple of false starts, the Hittys now have the doormat just as they’re packing up summer and heading back to The Huggery before Fall Tornado Season replaces the relentless steam of Oklahoma summer.

Pattern below in case you’d like your own. I had to add a couple more rows of pink in order to get the doormat wide enough to fit the doorstep.
